Back in the beginning of June we went to the Children's museum of Phoenix with some great friends, the Schlerf's. It was fantastic!!! The kids were in heaven, and even though we stayed much longer than we planned, they wanted to stay longer.
Right when you walk into the building, there is a giant climbing structure made completely out of building supplies. The kids were all over it..all of them except Addie. She did not like that she could see through to the floor and we were high up.
So instead of climbing, we went over to this structure. Imagine tubes and tubes of a vacuum hose. They had these colored hankies that you would put in one end and watch them go through the tubes and be shot out somewhere else. Addie started collecting a large amount and putting them all in at once so then they would "rain" down on here. Easton just laughed and laughed.
Our next stop was "The Noodle Forest." It is made entirely our of pool noodles hanging from the ceiling. Is it hard to see why the kids loved it?The museum was built in an old school building, so they had different themes in each room. Camden fell in love with the "ball room". He would put tennis balls in several different tubes, and watch them choose their paths.
Another room was the ice cream room. They would scoop up several different colored balls into different foam cones, and then serve each other.
Here's the flower room-pick any type of flower you want and make bouquets.
Next door was the "kitchen" and "grocery store". They had all types of play food, ingredients to make your own pizza's and put the "pie's" in the oven.
We found a smaller version of the "tube machine", this time with bouncy balls. You could flip some levers and change the direction/thus the tube the balls would travel. The little kids loved the small "Plinko" board set up right next to it.
Next came the painting room. Giant castle with many aprons, brushes, and paint. They could paint anywhere on the castle they wanted. Again, is it hard to see why the kids had perma-smiles?
They also had a craft room and a giant fort building room. They really did think of everything that a kid would love to do.
