On Friday, Amber decided to get one more temple visit in, so she went with some friends. While there, of course contractions started and were 2 min apart. So off we went to the hospital (Trav left work and picked her up). She had progressed to a 4, but then after 4 hours, the contractions slowed, and home we went. (This had never happened with the previous 4). Which ended up being great, cause we had a busy Saturday. Kennedy and Camden both had games, we did a little Costco shopping, and we had our weekly Pizza-Movie night. It was a fun family day.
Late that night/early Sunday (3:30AM), strong contractions that were 3min apart woke Amber up. Called some fabulous neighbors, and off we went to the hospital...again. She had progressed even more, so this time they admitted her. So after much walking, and tine (now noon), baby was now at a 7, but still high, but there was progression. We had a lot of fun together, talking and walking the beautiful little garden they had there. By 5pm, not much had changed, except now Amber was tired. Her nurse-Missy, and Dr-Tutt, were so kind and patient during the whole thing. After some coaxing, Amber let them break her water-hoping it would help this content baby move on down. Two hours later, now at an 8, baby was still high, and his heart rate was stressing. Things got a little more intense-Amber was given oxygen, and an IV. (Why do they always want to put the IV in the hand? Bony hand+IV=pain They hit her ulnar nerve, which numbed half her hand; next they tried the wrist-no go with that too. Then a new nurse came in and finally put it in the forearm-much better. By this point, relaxing through the contractions was not happening; and after being up for so long, Amber had hit her max-she asked for an epidural-hoping that it would help this little one as well. She had a great, small epidural. At this same time a new shift of nurses were coming in. The new nurse thought that the baby's head was turned slightly, so she thought a little push might help. (Sometimes someone new can bring a new perspective) Literally seconds later, baby was coming.
Colston Jag Wiser was born at 7:23pm on March 27th 2011. He was our biggest baby by a whole pound at 7lbs 15oz, and was 20.25 in long. And he has so much HAIR!-maybe that's why his head was a little stuck. The whole Wiser fam came to visit our new addition the next morning. They were in love with him at once. Easton kept saying "Hi baby, hi baby!" (with no volume control what so ever)

Oh. My. Goodness!! How fun! I loved hearing the "baby story" and seeing all the fun family pictures. King Tut did a great job and I'm SO glad delivery went well. Can't wait to see Colston in person. Hope you're hanging in there!
