Christmas eve

For the Christmas holidays we decided to stay home and just hang out together as a family. Travis took the week off from work, so we had lots of fun. For Christmas Eve, we got together with some neighborhood friends-Schlerf, Cox, and Reed families. We had pizza, goodies, and games at the Schlerf's. The kids had a blast with all their friends. Then we headed home for our family traditional Christmas Eve. Travis read Luke 2, and the kids acted it out. Addie was Mary. Kennedy played double duty as donkey, and then Joseph. Camden was the Angel, and Easton was one of the wise men...for a minute.

After reading Luke 2 and discussing the nativity, we open a few presents. The kids always get a set of pajamas and a new ornament from us. Then they open their gifts to each other. This year we decided to make presents and to draw names and make each other a fleece blanket. They loved this idea, and they all worked hard on them. Addie tied the ends of her blanket, and even Easton helped a little with his present. It was a fun Christmas Eve.
