Camden's Baptism

What a handsome little man he is!!

Camden was so excited to get baptized, that he was actually sad that he had to wait a few weeks for his assigned date.  Intially our ward had so many new 8 year old kids, that Cam was assigned with 7 other girls for the same day.  Due to a ward split and some other changes, it ended up being just him and Kourtney Welch-whom we adore.  So it wsa fun to plan a baptism with the Welch family.  Both Cam and Kourtney wanted the same songs so it worked perfect. (I am a Child of God & Baptism)

Second time around is just as sureal as the first.  And things were a little different-seemed a little "less" having a boy get baptized...you know, you're not as worried about the hair and dress. And I was able to chill a little more because I wasn't needed in the bathroom afterward.

It was also wonderful because we were able to have family there-usually we don't have very much, so it was a welcomed benefit. It's nice to share those special moments with family.

It's funny cause it's before big moments like these, that you kind of have a freak out moment..."Have we taught him all that he needs to know?"..."Is he ready?"...."Does he get it?"....Let me tell you, we worry for no reason.  Both of our kids who have been baptized have surpassed what we would have even hoped for.  Camden has such a sweet testimony of baptism and the Holy Ghost. he really is such a sweet boy and a great kid.  We are super proud of him and his decision to be baptized.
