Zion Ponderosa-Pug Family Reunion

Every other year Trav's grandparents have a family reunion, and most everyone comes-which is around 80+ people. This year it was at the Zion Poderosa (east side of Zion National Park). It was beautiful weather in a gorgeous setting.

We drove up to Orderville and stayed the night with a friend's parents-the Cox family. We have stayed with them before and they are always so great to us. The kids loved their little "farm" and their horses.
Then we headed over to the resort to check things out. We could have either tented it, stayed in small cabins, medium cabins, or vacation homes-we got a vacation home complete with private spa! The resort had tons of activities-which of course were all extra-but we all had a blast! The favorite had to have been the zipline. Everyone got into the action-Travis, Amber, Kennedy, Camden, even little Addie and Grandma! They even had night zipline, which we did as a family at 10 o'clock at night-our kids have got the coolest parents ever!
Another activity was paintball. Travis had done it before, but this was Amber's first time. They both had fun and even have a few bruises to show.

The kids did the "Kids Camp" for a day-that included horse rides, zipline, crafts, rock wall, bungee trampoline, lunch, pool and more. They had a blast and we enjoyed watching them succeed in all the different activities. While there we of course we able to hang with some pretty fun cousins and extended family. After staying in the same house with us, some of our extended family may benefit from some counseling, but we enjoyed staying with them ;o)
We had a lot of fun as a family! The resort was beautiful and amazing and really loads of fun. The only downfall was that we weren't able to visit with everyone very well. Some we only saw for a few minutes. Now for some of you, you make think this might be a blessing, but we really enjoy our "Pug family" and missed not visiting with many of them. But on the up side...it was a ton of fun!!

I stayed with my family at that resort about 10 years ago (I was in college and my brothers were in jr high and high school). It was a lot of fun and I got to try tons of new stuff that week! Seeing pictures brought back lots of memories for me.

It was SO fun there, but we totally missed out on getting to hang out with you guys! Jonathan's family (including us) all got there on Wednesday and then we all left on Sunday morning, which was the original plan. But we missed you guys! Glad you had a great time too. Next time we'll be sure the timing isn't off!
