Halloween Festivities

Halloween is such a fun time... dressing up, candy, class parties, trunk or treating, candy, more dressing up, trick or treating...and did we mention Candy? With all this fun comes lots of work...mostly for Mom. This Halloween was no different, except now we had TWO class parties to go to (luckily only one to plan), and FOUR kids to dress up...multiple times. Luckily we had fun doing it.

Kennedy's class had a pizza, craft, and of course candy Halloween party. Addie joined us for the celebrations and is a coveted commodity in Kennedy's class.

Then Camden's class had a whole Halloween festival...oh sorry "FALL festival" is the PC term-so goofy. So they had craft stations where they frosted cookies, made spider hats, pumpkin pillows, candy corn bingo, skeleton pasta men, and of course more candy.

Then later that night we had our ward trunk or treat to attend. Unfortunately it decided to get really cold that day, so the kids ran through the trunk or treat to keep warm. But we had some great food, visited with good friends, and played a little.

On Saturday we were gratful for the yo-yo weather and it was warm again for trick or treating. We joined up with some fun friends and did our whole little neighborhood. The kids were all so excited, they were running from house to house. Even little Addie was trying to keep up. Then Addie would want Travis or Amber to carry her from home to home, then she was just content to sit in the wagon and eat what candy she had already collected.

We did notice that although there were lots of people out, it just doesn't seem like it was when we were kids...tons of trick or treaters and almost every house was passing out candy. This year we went down a street where one whole side was completly dark. Oh well, at least we all had lots of fun, tired, but fun. Now what to do with all that candy?!
