Pancake Tuesday

It's that time of year again! Time to borrow some griddles, work on those flipping skills, and invite one and all over some great pancake fun! We have been carrying on this tradition for 5 years now. We all look forward to it every year, but have taken some liberties with this special holiday-we sometimes change the day we celebrate to meet our needs.
What was fun this year was being able to invite more people that we have known while living in AZ, but that we don't necessarily get the opportunities to see very much anymore. Like our dear old neighbors, the Akers-best neighbors you could ever have!
And some great friends from college-the Hunsaker's.

One record was raised this year, that of largest family size-it had been owned by the Vernon family with 8. This year the White family bumped them with 10 family members-7 of those being boys.
Our party was so rockin' that it merged outside to the park across the street. Which is such a great option-then parents can still chat and kids can mix syrup and sand together for messy fun.

We love hosting this fun event, and having new and old friends come to visit and partake of all the pancakes you can eat. We have been nicknamed, "the pancake family". So mark your calendars for next year, and we'll plan on seeing ya!
