Our dear friends the Cooks (Kari, Caleb, Gunner, and Bree) invited us to come and see a play with them during the break-"Frog and Toad". It was a musical and was held at the Tempe arts center. Amber was a little apprehensive to hear that it was 90 min long...would the "little" ones last that long? But everyone did fabulously. There were plenty of little kids and lots of laughing and singing to the great music. And it was great to be there with friends. And it was an added bonus to sit on the first row in the balcony, so they little kids had room to walk back and forth. The play was really cute, and the kids all loved it.
What's a school break without a trip to some museum or another? This was no different, and we headed off to the Museum of natural history. It was fun to see Addie much more into all the exhibits. They all loved exploring and seeing all the different bones and fossils of the ancient creatures. And the climax was the flash flood that comes through the middle of the museum.
The biggest hit of the museum is always panning for gold and winding our way through the "mine". The kids love to play in the jail cell that greets them at the end of the mine as well.
We love this place and are always excited to come back for more.
