Then Friday was the wedding between KT and Joel. While Travis and Amber went to the ceremony, the kids played with their cousin's. Trav's grandpa conducted the ceremony-which just adds to how special and wonderful the whole thing was. They had their reception at Balboa park-beautiful place! Don't you just love her dress-she had it made to look like the one in Pride and Prejudice-another reason why we love her and thinks she's fabulou-so! They party was great and as always it's so fun to be with family. We love the Pugmire family and are just so happy for them, and glad to share in their joy and family.
Saturday we hung out with some other wonderful cousins-Ruth and Scott-and went to the beach. Both of our lives have run very parallel courses. We were both married the same year, all 4 of our kids are born within a few months of each other, 2 boys and 2 girls, and we are the same ages. We also just have so much fun with them and their great kids. The beach turned out to be a little dreary, but does that ever stop kids? And we had fun playing in the sand and chatting. Of course no trip to the beach would be complete without losing a child. Thankfully they were found quickly at the lifeguard station-not one of ours.
After that, the kids got really into digging and creating in the sand. We think Easton ingested more sand than humanly possible, and still had a smile on his face. It's fun to see what the kid's imagination came up with while playing together. Even though it was a little colder than us wimpy Arizona's are used to, we enjoyed it-and what trip to San Diego is complete without going to the beach?
