Look who's science project made it to finals!!! Kidney Bean's!!

 

What is it? you ask....well it shows how air pressure works. She heated water inside a metal can, sealed it and then quickly cooled it by pouring cold water over it. She then compared the difference in compression rates by using warm water. Anyway, as the water vapor is cooled, it condenses into water and takes up less space, thus creating a vacuum effect and crushing the can.  And if it looks familiar, it is-totally took one that I did as a kid, that Mr. Wizard did on his Nickelodeon show back in the day.  But she thought it was cool, so we had fun with it. And she was so proud to be one of the very few to make it to finals-we'll see how she does from there. Nice job Kennedy!
