We went to the Children's pool-which is an area of the beach where a breaker was built to create a "pool" for children. It has since filled in with tons of sand and become a popular spot for seals to have their babies.
We stayed in the La Jolla area and had a picnic lunch up on the grassy areas that overlooked the ocean. A few squirrels found us and Travis had them eating out of his hand...literally.
Later that day we went back at low tide and went to the tide pools. There were some other people there who had found an octopus; then we found some other people who showed us some lobsters. Then we investigated ourselves-saw lots of crabs, sea anemones, fish, muscles, and fun!
Of course we had to include a day to the beach. Addie loved the ocean and wanted Travis or Amber to take her out into the water. Thankfully the water was warmer than average. And of course we played in the sand.
We have lots of family there, and had a lot of fun visiting with them. Grandma and Grandpa Pug put us up and kept us fed. We played with Ruth and Scott and their wonderful family-and listened to BYU beat OU. Then we swam and lunched with Aunt/Grandma Edie and the kids enjoyed having Aunt Danielle and Karen around to throw them in the pool.
San Diego really is our home away from home. When we were leaving Kennedy asked why we couldn't live in California. No one wanted to leave. But that's what makes a vacation great-you can always come back!

After you create a collage, a new screen comes up on left with red eye, crop, etc, and one of those icons is text, you just click it and a cursor comes up on your pictures and you can easily manuvre it!
