Take me out to the ball game

In trying to complete our summer fun list, we went to a Diamondbacks baseball game a couple weeks ago. The kids had earned their tickets through one of the summer reading programs they did, and were excited to go. When we first walked out of the stairwell to our seats, Camden said "Mom I smell good things!" He's our super-smell-er kid, but there were lots of goodies being sold. Unfortunatly, for him, we came prepared with our own popcorn.
Now some of you may know that the Diamondbacks are currently in last place in their division, so it wasn't the most exciting of games, but we did have a lot of fun as a family. We sat next to another family with 4 kids, so we all felt right at home with children constantly switching seats, asking for food, some whining, drinks spilling, and many questions being asked.

The older kids are really starting to grasp all the rules, so they ask many questions about why certain things happen.

Camden almost refuses to take a "normal" picture anymore
Addie livened things up at one point by throwing her shoe down several rows-lucky for her she has a sweet smile to get herself out of trouble. We made it to the 7th inning stretch and sang "Take me out to the Ball Game." Addie thought the music was really loud.
Then we went over to the organ. The organist was great and let the kids take pictures with him-they thought that was pretty cool. We all had a super fun time, even though at times Travis may feel like a "sherpa" on a very well stocked expedition.
