"We're painting the roses red, painting the roses red"

That song was sung much as we painted the kids rooms. We started with Kennedy's room, then we moved to Addie's room, and next wwas the Boy's room-Camden and Easton.

For Addie's room, we used as inspirationthis diamond paper that was used for her name blocks. Diamonds were actually easier than straight lines (AFTER all the calculations were done). They were dark pink diamonds with light blue (glass slipper) lines. This time we were smart and only did one wall-the other 3 walls are light pink.
Once we had decided to do diamonds, Kennedy wanted something cool for her room. So after an intense google search, we found squares. Since this was our first room, it took the longest-trial and error sort of thing.

The boys room was easy to pick colors...San Diego Charger theme. They already had the bedding and the brainwashing to go with it. This time we thought we were going even easier with horizontal lines. But then when we got into it we realized it was 8 lines around the whole room! When we finished we weren't as pleased as we thought it was going to be-but after adding the bedding and all, we think it looks good.

They were a lot of work, but they look so good and are so fun, we love it! Plus we now know how to work a little better together as well. Now we just have the FOUR bathrooms to do!
